..fufufu this song took a lot of time to translate.
This time, a Umineko no Naku Koro Ni character song of Jessica Ushiromiya~
Just when I finished translating MOST of the song.. I found out that animesuki had a thread that contained a translation already. If you like, you may go and make your assessment on whether you would want to rely on mine or theirs to understand the song.
Chances are, theirs’ might be more accurate as my knowledge on several casual-use conjugations like ~chau and the like are more or less nonexistent. I tried my best, but some of the meaning might be a bit lost as a result. “Hokkyun” and “Mokkyun” are also left untranslated simply because I can’t find it anywhere. If I do, I’ll replace it. Sorry~ n__n
Additionally, I added the Japanese, romanji, and translated most of the “sound effects” that’s not on the official lyrics booklet. They’re shown in parentheses for JP, romanji, and English. It’s just a little fun thing so I hope my translations are accurate enough but, at most, are NOT ones where it’s definitely accurate. Do take and proceed caution if you are planning to use this translation as a reference.
Enjoy~

でっかいでっかいでっかいお城の / 悩める年上お姫さま
dekkai dekkai dekkai oshiro no / nayameru toshiue ohime sama
The troubled, older princess / of a huge, huge, huge castle
ガラスの靴じゃ彼氏もゲット!
GARASU no kutsu ja kareshi mo GETTO
Gets glass shoes and also a boyfriend
とーてい(到底?*) 選定できないよ
tootei sentei dekinai yo
I cannot possibly choose from this selection!
* Added possible related kanji. It was difficult to discern the meaning of this line without one ahaha. However, my choice may be incorrect. Proceed with caution.
ちゃっかりすっかりうっかり
chakkari sukkari ukkari
shrewedly, completely, thoughtlessly
“ブツ”をあのお方に借りちゃったら
butsu o ano okata ni karichattara
I’ll just borrow “that thing” from “that person”
フラグフラグフラグフラグ
FURAGU FURAGU FURAGU FURAGU
Flag, flag, flag, flag!
~ “flag” is also a tag (prevalent in visual novels) indicating a future role or status for a character. Basically, for this song, this is a where the “princess” aims to gain the “flag.”
誰に借りたの?(彼氏 できない)
dare ni karita no (kareshi dekinai)
Who can I borrow? (I am unable to have a boyfriend*)
* While “kareshi dekinai” literally means “boyfriend not able to do/occur,” I think it implies that she doesn’t have one and that’s why she’s wondering who she could borrow.
年下の(お持ち帰り~)イケメンを(ほう) / 魔女の魔法で(はい はい はい)見繕って
toshishita no (omochikaeri~) IKEMEN o (hou) / majo no mahou de (hai hai hai) mitsukurotte
Using the magic of a witch of my own volition / I would choose a young cool guy (I want to take it home~!)

*kind of a dilemma for me because it might be a product of Jessica’s preference on using masculine speech. In that context, “sa” is used as a sentence closer to indicate assertion. Another meaning is “come now” or adding “~ness” to the word.

It looks like the Kanji lyrics you’re using isn’t the exact same as in the booklet. Most of the lyrics in parentheses aren’t official, and there appears to be a few kanji errors (resulting in translation errors).
Nevertheless, I applaud your bold effort. It’s a really confusing song for those who don’t understand all of the references.
