..fufufu this song took a lot of time to translate.

This time, a Umineko no Naku Koro Ni character song of Jessica Ushiromiya~

Just when I finished translating MOST of the song.. I found out that animesuki had a thread that contained a translation already. If you like, you may go and make your assessment on whether you would want to rely on mine or theirs to understand the song.

Chances are, theirs’ might be more accurate as my knowledge on several casual-use conjugations like ~chau and the like are more or less nonexistent. I tried my best, but some of the meaning might be a bit lost as a result. “Hokkyun” and “Mokkyun” are also left untranslated simply because I can’t find it anywhere. If I do, I’ll replace it. Sorry~ n__n

Additionally, I added the Japanese, romanji, and translated most of the “sound effects” that’s not on the official lyrics booklet. They’re shown in parentheses for JP, romanji, and English. It’s just a little fun thing so I hope my translations are accurate enough but, at most, are NOT ones where it’s definitely accurate. Do take and proceed caution if you are planning to use this translation as a reference.

~ “flag” is also a tag (prevalent in visual novels) indicating a future role or status for a character. Basically, for this song,  this is a where the “princess” aims to gain the “flag.”

* While “kareshi dekinai” literally means “boyfriend not able to do/occur,” I think it implies that she doesn’t have one and that’s why she’s wondering who she could borrow.
